Hi, my name is Kate Hellen and I am a qualified, experienced web designer with a passion for the internet. I design simple, usable websites that get results.  I pride myself on reliable communication with my clients who tell me I am patient and easy to work with.   I have a Certificate in Business Computing and a Certificate in Adult Teaching.

I have extensive practical experience in web design, content management,  seo, computer support, networking, hardware & software technical support, website support, domain management and staff training, so as far as computers and the internet are concerned I am an all-rounder.

I started web design in about 1990 when I setup Raglan.Net - the Raglan Community Website, which quickly became the number 1 website about Raglan on google and other search engines and has stayed there ever since.   Read more about my working history in this article.

After returning to Auckland in 2004 and up until August 2011 I was working for a Publishing and Exhibitions company in Takapuna, managing all their websites, working in php, html, css, and Joomla.  I have now gone freelance (since August 2011) and am working from my home in Whangaparaoa.

Most of the websites I build now are Joomla or Wordpress, but if you have a current html or php site you would like revamped I will also be at home in that environment.  I have previously worked with Silverstripe, Plesk and Magento.

I enjoy both the creative and technical aspects of web design.
